Cover letter:

Sufficient Funds and bank statement:

For your travel to be approved by the Singapore Embassy, you need to submit your last 3 months personal bank statements that prove that you possess a minimum balance of INR 75000. This is to prove that you have sufficient money to fun your entire trip.

Specific documents for the following visas:

Apart from the basic documents mentioned above, the Embassy might also ask you to submit specific documents depending on the type of visa you have applied and the number of days you wish to reside in Singapore. Failure of which might even lead to the rejection of your visa.

  • If Visiting friend or relative:

Invitation letter
Inviter’s ID passport or PR

  • If Sponsored:

  • If Employed:

  2. Financial documents like ITR, updated 3 months Bank Statement of the sponsor.
  • For married:
  1. Marriage Certificate for couples: Only for newly married
  2. Going to get married shortly, wedding Card/Betrothal Photos with a NOC from parents, along with the Signature proof and also if spouse name is not endorsed on the passports.
  3. For married ladies travelling without their husband: NOC Letter and Signature ID proof from Husband or Death Certificate if husband not alive.


If the applicant’s passport is not issued in the area where they are applying for the visa, a copy of an address proof letter (ration card, E.B. card, voter id, driving license, Bsnl/Airtel/Reliance/Tata Indicom landline bill, tenancy agreement) is required. For eg., if you are residing in Mumbai but your address in the passport is of Delhi, you will need an address proof.

To apply for a Singapore Business visa:

The application form of 14(A) is compulsory and the one similar to the tourist visa. Just that you need to make sure you tick on a business visa in the categories of visa.

If employed:

The employee ID card and the salary slip for the last 3 months for employed personnel.

For self-employed:

  • Business registration License/MOA/Partnership deed/GST certificate/IT returns
  • Company’s bank statement for the last 3 months
  • Company’s IT returns for the last 3 years

If you are applying for a student visa:

To get a Student Visa Singapore, it is required to receive a stamped letter from the educational institute you have applied for further study. Without the acceptance letter, it is impossible for anyone to go for a student visa in Singapore. Together with this, you must produce some necessary documents to support the application:

  • Two copies of V36, form 16 and Form V39S
  • Official Birth certificate in English
  • Proof of educational qualification and grades
